A Moment to Remember

Sometimes, in the middle of all the love, laughter, and happy tears of a wedding day, a moment happens that truly stops me in my tracks.

At a recent wedding, the bride’s grandmother came up to me after the ceremony, her eyes shining. She reached for my hand and asked, “Have you written a book?”

A little confused, I smiled and asked what she meant. She went on to say how much she loved hearing her granddaughter and new grandson-in-law’s Love Story—how it was heartfelt, funny, deeply personal, and unlike any wedding ceremony she had ever experienced. She told me she wanted to read all the love stories I’ve written, to soak in the joy, the laughter, and the magic of each one.

Wow. What a compliment.

She called her granddaughter’s wedding the best she had ever seen. She talked about the humour, the connection, the way the guests wiped away tears listening to the couple’s Love Abouts—how, in her words, the entire ceremony was perfection.

I was so touched. To know that the love and care I put into each ceremony can leave that kind of impact, not just on the couple but on their family, is something I’ll never take for granted.

And as for that book? No plans yet... but after hearing that, who knows? 📖❤️
